Chinese Ambassador to Jamaica Hands Over Agricultural Equipment to the Jamaican Government

On July 13, 2010, H. E. Chen Jinghua, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Jamaica, officially hands over a batch of agricultural machinery, equipment and irrigation infrastructure goods donated by the Chinese Government to the Jamaican Government. The equipment, which includes tractors, rice harvesters, dryer machine, electric water pumps, trucks, diesel generators, plows, disk harrows, sprayers, rice seedling machine and brush cutters, was received by Dr. the Hon. Christopher Tufton, Jamaican Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, and will be used for the resuscitation of the rice industry in Jamaica.
